Wednesday, March 27, 4 to 6 p.m.

We confess our sins and declare God’s forgiveness most weeks corporately in our worship. Our Book of Common Prayer also contains a sacramental rite in which individuals may confess their sins to God in the presence of a priest and receive the assurance of God’s grace and forgiveness. The church’s ministry of reconciliation is from God, “who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation” (2 Cor 5:18). It is exercised through the care each Christian has for others, through the common prayer of Christians assembled for public worship, and through the priesthood of the church and its ministers declaring absolution (BCP, p. 446).

This rite is available any time by appointment with Rev. Anne, but there will be a special time during Holy Week available for this rite on Wednesday, March 27, from 4 to 6 p.m., in the St. Francis Chapel. If the door is open, come in; if the door is closed, there will be a chair outside where you can wait until the previous person is finished.
