Saturday, July 9, 3 to 6 p.m.
Once again, St. Clare’s hosts a wine and appetizer tasting event to raise money for local outreach and broaden awareness of our work in Mirebalais, Haiti. If you are planning on or interested in attending this year’s fundraiser, scheduled for 3 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, at St. Clare, please know that you must purchase TICKETS. These are available electronically (click “Buy Now” button below) or by contacting Susan Evett (sevett@internet2.edu). The suggested donation of $40 per ticket covers the cost of the following.
- Wine sampling (around 6 dozen wines available to taste)
- Food to complement beverages being tasted (including a wide range of snacks, hot and cold tapas, and other heavy appetizers), and
- A donation to support St. Clare’s Outreach Programs (Haiti Medical Clinic, Back Door Food Pantry, and others)
Due to COVID concerns, the event will be a combination of indoor and outdoor. Depending upon the weather, some portion of the event will be out of doors under the tent, and the doors to the social hall will be propped open to ensure air circulation and social distancing.
At this event, participants help select the wines available for the Annual Wine Auction in September; this event generates the bulk of the funds we provide to support the medical clinic and school in Mirebalais, Haiti as well as significant funding for the Back Door Food Pantry, Alpha House, and other local outreach projects.
