The next few weeks have all kinds of excitement as we kick off the summer. This Sunday, we have a baptism at 10:30, followed by a brief congregational meeting to elect our Genesis board representative, followed by our forum on communion wine. And later in the day, the Genesis Annual Meeting!

I’ll be on vacation for 9 days starting on Monday! Next Sunday, June 19, the Rev. Teresa Wakeen will join us as presider and for a forum about her Crossroads ministry, and Nancy Faerber will preach. The service will honor Juneteenth through prayers, music, and preaching.

Finally, on June 26, we have our first outdoor worship of the summer, to finish up our climate action week! Our schedule will be a bit different:

  • 8:30 In person in the sanctuary, and livestreamed (short service with communion and no music)
  • 10:30 In person only, under the tent. This will be a climate action-themed service, with two speakers from TBE at the sermon time. We’ll have a children’s chapel with a Godly Play story during the sermon time as well. Come worship in the beauty of creation! If the weather is rainy, we’ll move indoors.

We’ll plan to have outdoor worship with the same schedule on July 31 and August 28 as well.

Happy Summer!
