Do you know about House N2 Home? It is a local group whose mission is to furnish dwellings for those who are previously unhoused, whether coming from Safe House, the streets, or fleeing countries in peril. The volunteers consult with the person or families about their taste and desires in household goods, and provide them through donations and new items.
The most recent count says they have furnished dwellings for 500 families and individuals. 500! And as you can see from the link on their website, the basic move-in cost is $500.
To honor that nice symmetry, the Outreach Committee would like us to celebrate their good work with a donation to fund one move-in. Will you help? Please write a check and put it in the plate with the memo line “HouseN2Home.” And please explore the website for this wonderful group. They coordinate with about 20 other local groups, such as Safe House, House by the Side of the Road, and Jewish Family Services, and they have a large storage facility for household goods awaiting need.
