Before I (Rev. Anne) left Grace, I was working with a very wise member of the congregation to offer a program about the spirituality of parenting in these stressful and wild times, with the desire to create some space to share about the experience with other parents. I was sad to leave before it launched, because I was really looking forward to that space. In the last couple months, they decided to make the class hybrid, and invited us at St. Clare’s to join! I’m planning to attend, and just let me know if you’d like to check it out with me, and I’ll get you the Zoom information. It will be six sessions, from 2:30-3:30 ET on Sundays February 13-March 20. Here’s the description:

How do emotional bonds affect brain development in young children? How can I better connect with my child and support self-regulation? In this class, you will learn how the developing brain makes sense of the parent/child bond as well as how to repair ruptures, understand tantrums, develop resiliency, and keep your own emotions in check. Led by esteemed therapist and child development educator Nola Casserly, LMFT, nurture yourself and your ability to create a faith based family culture that supports your parenting in powerful new ways this year! We welcome parents and grandparents with children from birth to 10 years.
