Dear St. Clarians,
There are not enough words for me to express my gratitude for the wonderful farewell party you gave me on Sunday. Your generous love and kindness will always be treasured by me. Thank you for my purse, all the gifts and cards. I read all the cards when I got home Sunday and am still savoring the wonderful words that you wrote. I will truly miss you.
I feel so blessed to have been given over two years to serve as your rector. Your kindness from the beginning continued as we worked together to ready the congregation to call a new rector. Your leadership and commitment made it possible. I know that the new rector you are calling will receive so much joy and love from you as I did.
I look forward to hearing about all the ministries you are involved in and the new ones you may create. I know that God will continue to bless you with grace and love. May you find peace in knowing that you are doing God’s work. You are a wonderful congregation of talented, generous, and loving people. I will continue to hold you in prayer as you begin your new chapter of church life.
