With the lifting of so many COVID-19 related restrictions, we continue to adjust how best to provide worship service and community for those who are comfortable with in-person activities and those that are not comfortable or cannot participate in person. This post describes the opportunities you have for worship and coffee hour, both in person and virtually, in the coming summer months.

Beginning July 11, we will hold outdoor Holy Eucharist service at 10 a.m. on Sundays. Services will be under the tent at St. Clare’s, and we no longer ask that you reserve seats in advance! As an added bonus, we will hold a coffee hour after the service! To protect children and other unvaccinated attendees, we do require that you wear a mask covering your nose and mouth. If there is thunder or lightning Sunday morning, the outdoor service will be canceled. Please read on for highlights from the Bishop’s most recent directive that we will follow at our outdoor services.

  • Communion will be offered in one kind (wafer); wine will not be offered.
  • We will continue a no-touch passing of the peace.
  • We will continue a no-touch offering; please place your offering in the plate OR give online at www.saintclareschurch.org/give or www.edomi.org/give.

Each week we will record a Morning Prayer service that will be delivered to you via email on Sunday mornings, and you can worship with that service at your convenience. In addition, you can join a Virtual Coffee Hour on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. The link will be provided in the same email as the Morning Prayer links.

We plan to resume services in the building as soon as Genesis’s improvements to the building’s HVAC system can be completed to provide for improved HEPA (high efficiency particulate air) filtering and increased air circulation in the Sanctuary.
