Adult Faith Formation is pleased to invite you to join us in reading The Night Watchman by Louise Erdrich.

We will meet for discussion under the tent at St. Clare’s twice in July and twice in August.
Discussion Dates: 3 to 4:30 p.m. on Sundays, July 11 and 25, August 8 and 22
Registration is now full (6/27/2021)

Based on the extraordinary life of Louise Erdrich’s grandfather, Patrick Gourneau, who carried the fight against Native dispossession from rural North Dakota to Washington, D.C., The Night Watchman is a majestic work of fiction from one of the most acclaimed writers of our time.

Roberta “Bobbie” Ackley will help guide our discussions. For a period of ten years, Bobbie was an Educational Consultant to the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians, the Hannahville Indian Community Band of Potawatomi, and the Navajo Nation Rock Chapter in Arizona. Her perspectives from living with and learning from these communities will be most helpful.

You can find the book locally at Nicola’s, but please call ahead to see if they have copies on hand. If not, they will order one for you. They also offer curbside pickup. 734-662-0600
