This Wednesday, St. Clare’s will offer Ashes to Go in our parking lot from 7 to 9 a.m.
Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent. St. Clare’s observes this day by imposing ashes on one another’s foreheads as a reminder of our mortality and the need all people continually have to renew their faith and repentance. We’ll hold Ash Wednesday worship services at noon and 6 p.m., but we know that many people are busy and cannot attend church on a weekday. Thus, we offer you this opportunity to drive into our parking lot between 7 and 9 a.m. Wednesday morning and receive ashes during your morning commute: to pause, to mark our mortality, and to celebrate the blessings of this life, even in the midst of a busy day.
