For more than 30 years, St. Clare’s and Temple Beth Emeth have joined together as Genesis to support neighbors experiencing homelessness through the Rotating Shelter.
This winter, the Shelter Association of Washtenaw County has paused the overnight Rotation program and expanded other winter shelter services to serve more people, including both men and women. Genesis has been asked to continue our support in a new way by providing meals for the daytime warming center at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Ypsilanti.
Our 2026 week is Nov. 16–19. We will provide lunch for up to 75 people each day and collect packaged breakfast foods and snacks for the warming center.

Monetary Donations are available in two ways:
- Donate to our meals by giving online through St. Clare’s. Please select “Shelter Meals” from the drop-down menu so your contribution is directed to this effort. Your donation will help purchase food and supplies for the four daily lunches and other meal needs during our week of support. Thank you !
