a play by José Casas performed by Spinning Dot Theatre

March 7, 3:30pm-4:30pm followed by a 15-minute “talk back” conversation with the actors, in the sanctuary

Sometimes, I Wish is a reimagining of Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot and performed by Spinning Dot Theatre, a company based in Ann Arbor which performs global plays for family audiences. A mixed generation cast brings this poignant play to life. It takes place on Christmas Eve where two young children, Itzel and Dakota, wait for a bed at the local homeless shelter, dreaming of a warm place to sleep with their families. The two friends ponder the meaning of their lives, encountering some interesting characters who influence their perspectives on the world.

Recommended for ages 8+.
