Monday, September 16, at 7:30 pm in the Social Hall, an in-person presentation by the League of Women Voters, presented by The Genesis Events Committee, The TBE Voting Rights Committee, The STC Equity Education and Action Committee, and The Women of TBE

60% of voters approved Prop 2 in November 2022.  That proposal amended the state constitution to expand voting rights.  This presentation describes both new rights and improvements to existing processes.  Topics include certification of election results, early voting, improvements to absentee voting, voter ID, election audits, and public disclosure of charitable contributions.

A volunteer from the League’s Voter Services Committee, who is trained on voter registration to help folks who need to register, update their address or apply for an absentee voter ballot, will also be available.

Empowering Voters. Defending Democracy. The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government.  It influences public policy through education and advocacy.
