3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 24

In 2004, members of Temple Beth Emeth formed “Generations After,” a group of adult children of Holocaust survivors. Members of this group have created a unique book, The Ones Who Remember: Second Generation Voices of the Holocaust, which is a collection of 16 chapter-length memoirs in which the contributors write about the ripple effects of their parents’ suffering on their own lives as children, adults, and parents to the third generation. Along the way, they discovered unexpected gifts of healing, strength, and post-traumatic growth. To their knowledge, this book is the only second-generation anthology that arose out of a single community of memory keepers.

To mark the publication of The Ones Who Remember, there will be a Book Launch & Signing on Sunday, April 24, from 3 to 5 PM at our shared facility. In addition to the book signing, there will be a chance to meet the authors and to experience a formal reading of selected excerpts. Nicola’s Books will be on-site for book sales. Proof of vaccination and masks are required at the Book Launch & Signing.
