In 2020, St. Clare’s organized “Ashes to Go” on Ash Wednesday, a time when people could drive up to the church during the morning commute and receive ashes. We will continue the practice this year on Ash Wednesday (March 2)! Here’s how you can participate:
- Give out ashes, pray with people, or wave signs during the morning commute at St. Clare’s (7 to 9 a.m.)
- Give out ashes or pray with people somewhere out in the community around noon on Ash Wednesday
Let Rev. Anne know if you’re interested, or just show up!
Our Ash Wednesday service will be at 6pm on March 2, both in person and online. Ash Wednesday is a contemplative service and a time to reflect and center yourself at the beginning of the season of Lent. You’ll find links to the bulletin and Zoom at www.saintclareschurch.org/worship. If you’re unable to make it in person, you’re welcome to stop by Ashes To Go that morning to have ashes imposed.
PS: Don’t forget about our Shrove Tuesday event the day before (March 1)!
