Because we have been notified that the Search Committee has completed its discernment and selected one of the Rector candidates to bring to the Vestry next week, Maryjane has submitted her letter of resignation as St. Clare’s interim rector. This was always the plan and her next assigned church is eager and needful of her services. Her last Sunday will be October 3, after which she will take some needed vacation before starting at St. Thomas in Trenton on November 1. We have been so blessed to have her for our interim, and although her departure will be a grief to us all, we cannot begrudge St. Thomas the healing that her gifts will bring to them as they did to us.
Almighty God, giver of every good gift:
Look graciously on St. Clare’s Church, and so guide the minds of those who shall choose a rector for this parish,
that we may receive a faithful pastor, who will care for your people and equip us for our ministries;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
