Greetings from your Vestry with a word about what we’ve been paying attention to during these awkward and often inconvenient times. We all agree that while our “virtual worship” does not convey the same sense of community and fellowship we’re accustomed to, good ol’ Zoom does afford us the opportunity to “stay in touch” and say “Hi”. And the “coffee visits” following worship services have been fun, helping us get to know others with whom we might not normally engage. We appreciate the creativity and commitment of our staff and Worship Commission who make all that happen.

Outreach and In-reach: We recently authorized sending $20,000 from our Haiti Outreach Fund to the Haiti Outreach Mission (HOM), which we support along with 1 other local parish in our diocese and 4 Catholic churches. Vestry members have completed a first round of contacting all of our parishioners to “check-in” on how things are going in dealing with the threat of COVID 19 and the search for a “new normal.”

Facility Readiness to Reopen: Both Genesis and St Clare’s leadership have been engaged to define options necessary to safely reopen the building for worship, learning and staff function. Stay tuned for progress and the green light to move ahead.

Sound System improvements: Our very techy music director is working to improve the quality of the church’s Zoom audio streaming capability. (Thank you, John)

Call for Participation: And finally, as you know, St Clare’s offers a variety of opportunities for you to “pitch in” on behalf of fellow parishioners. Stay tuned for more detailed information to help you decide where you are called to participate:
