A big heartfelt thank you to all the St. Clarian volunteers who walked in, donated to, and successfully hosted the 2019 CROP Walk in Ann Arbor! Over 25 volunteers and walkers represented St. Clare’s in welcoming over 180 participants from various congregations in Ann Arbor in our building, and providing them with wonderful hospitality and an array of delicious soups prepared by 11 different parishioners! Our youth group was very well represented with 7 members who raised over $700, and we got to hear state representative Yousef Rabhi and Rep. Debbie Dingell say a few inspiring words prior to the walk. The city-wide event raised over $27,000 to feed the hungry and support social justice endeavors locally and worldwide, of which well over $1,500 in total was raised by St. Clarians! (Final numbers are still being tallied as pledges come in). The canned goods drive of this year’s event went to the Milan Food Bank. Thank you all!
