Temporary Meal Support Needed for Alpha House (New Location)

February – March, 2026 Click Here to Sign Up

Alpha House is experiencing a temporary need for additional dinner support at Alpha House East (Towsley location in Ypsi) while their regular meal service is being reestablished. This is a new location and an ongoing need that may continue for several weeks. This is different from our regular week of meals we have helped with in the past.

Dinner meals are needed for 18 adults. Meals may be homemade or purchased, and can be dropped off at Alpha House East by 5:30 pm on your scheduled day. There is one beef allergy; alternatives are available for that individual as needed. Alpha House East is located at 5631 McAuley Drive, Ypsilanti.

Details including suggested items are provided in the signup. You are welcome to contribute parts of a meal or a whole meal. Thank you.

We are sending volunteers to Alpha House December 15-21 & 23-25, 2025.

Alpha House provides temporary shelter, food and support services for homeless families in Washtenaw County. It is run by the Interfaith Hospitality Network of Washtenaw County (IHN), of which St. Clare’s is a member.

We provide volunteers four times a year to staff Alpha House and cater meals. We always need more help with this. It is a profound and important form of outreach. Please join us. Contact John Renehan or Knut Hill for more information or to sign up!

Volunteers are needed to bring one or more parts of a child friendly meal for about 25 by 5:30 p.m. on weekdays or by 9 a.m. weekend mornings.
